Road To 3rd Street Songwriters Festival
D.a.T. SaUcE and The Last Honky Tonk Music Series presented Road To 3rd Street Songwriters Festival in Morgan City LA April ——, 2107. Country Songwriting Icon Dean Dillon headlined and over 100 National Songwriters performed during a five day period in the “Honky Tonk Hometown”. It started on Wednesday with a Fais Do Do, a Louisiana tradition of hay bales and music, on the beaches of Lake End Park, and the festivities continued for five days with nighttime music events, Songwriter performances during the day at multiple venues in town. Scott Green of Dat Sauce also held an amazing Bayou Songwriters Retreat, and the Last Honky Tonk Music Series rounded out the festival on the final day with a day-long show at Gros Marina, where Retired Lt Col Don Vtipil of the R&DA Military Assistance Program gave away two $5,000 checks to local wounded service men and their families. The festival was amazing, with beautiful weather all five days. It brought people to the area from all over the country and was a wonderful experience sharing Songs on the Bayou.
